Esgair Timber Co. Ltd. is a company based in rural Mid-Wales, producing a sustainable and high quality range of homegrown timber products.

We will be working closely with our customers to ensure that our produce has the most robust environmental credentials, whilst maintaining a solid standard of quality.

Our own saw mill will process our homegrown timber to structural grade sawn timber for sale into the local construction and timber framing market. Have a look at how the work is progressing on our ambitious project here.

All the harvesting and mill waste will be recycled through a biomass CHP generator which will generate approx 700 megawatt hours of electricity annually, for our own use in the saw mill, with the residue for sale via the national grid. This considerable investment is due to arrive in July 2008. The heat generated is used to dry products as required by customers.

The forest has just been accepted by the Soil Association as the first forest in Organic Conversion in the UK.
